Jay-Z Bids for Nets Naming Rights

The Nets are abandoning New Jersey for Brooklyn in two years but are losing Continental Airlines as the naming rights holder of the Meadowlands Arena this season.  A request for bids has been released and rapper/businessman, and minority Nets owner, Jay-Z has emerged as the leading contender for his fashion line Rocawear.  He would hold it for the two years until the Nets leave for Brooklyn.  Rocarena anyone?

While it does sound a bit lamer than Continental Airlines...does it really matter...

They're both dumb...shit, If I were Jay-Z i'd just name it after myself...

What is the difference between "Rocawear Arena" and "Heinz Field"? If the companies have the money, and the teams are game, why not? Would it be "news worthy" if Ralph Lauren made a bid on the name?

Rocarena is lame. As is Jay-Z arena. He should name it something historically related to the area it's being buiilt in.
