[edit] Statistics
[edit] Scouting Report
Positives: Good size for the position. ... Good initial quickness. ... Understands what the defense is trying to do and can find the open hole in the zone. ... Works his way back to the quarterback when he senses pressure. ... Catches the ball cleanly and shows the body control to adjust to poorly thrown passes. ... Uses his size to compete for jump balls and was a favorite target here in the red zone. ... Showed toughness and competitiveness against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl (10 receptions for 105 yards) when most of his teammates looked out-classed athletically.
Negatives: Lacks downfield speed, and despite good route-running skills lacks standout agility. ... Lets too many passes get into his chest. ... Only adequate quickness and toughness to get off press coverage despite his size. ... Production is more of a statement about this offense than Rivers' own ability.
