Jason Mathews (Samuel Jason Mathwes) was born on February 9, 1971 in Orange, Texas. After going to high school at Bridge City (TX), Mathews attended Brigham Young University and Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Mathews made his professional debut in the NFL in 1994 with the Indianapolis Colts. He played for the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Oilers over the course of his 11 year career.
