Born on August 21, 1978 in Manhasset, New York, Jason Marquis (Jason Scott Marquis) played for the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career. Marquis broke into the bigs on June 6, 2000 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 3.48 ERA in 129.1 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jason Marquis's best season was 2004, when he posted a 3.71 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 138 batters.
