Signed as a free agent with Edmonton Eskimos on January 16, 2008.

2007:

Despite being traded to Montreal in mid-season, Maas was Hamilton's leading passer in 2007 completing 137 of 231 passes for 1,749 yards and seven touchdowns. Maas completed 21 of 33 pass attempts with the Als in 2007 for 220 yards and one touchdown. Released by Montreal on Dec. 31, 2007.

2006:

Played in 18 games, completed 298 of 484 pass attempts (61.6%) for 3204 yards and 8 touchdowns ... ran the ball 52 times for 290 yards and three touchdowns ... Was named CFL Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Edmonton on Week 15, where he completed 26-of-39 passes for 388 yards and one touchdown, while adding three carries for 22 yards and led the Cats to a 20-18 victory.

2005:

The veteran signal caller made the most of the opportunities that were presented to him during Edmonton's march to their second Grey Cup championship in three years...completed 15 of 18 passes for 144 yards and one touchdown in the Eskimos 33-26 West Semi-Final victory over the Calgary Stampeders...The Eskimos scored their first touchdown on a 16 play, 93 yard drive led by Maas in the fourth quarter of the victory over the Stampders to pull even for the first time since early in the opening quarter...Maas replaced Ricky Ray for the third straight game in the fourth quarter of Edmonton's 28-23 West Final victory over the British Columbia Lions and immediately drove the Eskimos to a game-winning touchdown...with the game tied 21-21, Maas threw a 15-yard pass to Trevor Gaylor for the go-ahead score...was the runner-up to Montreal's Eric Lapointe for the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week award in recognition of his performance against the Lions...backed-up Ricky Ray and handled the holding duties on field goals and extra points in Edmonton's 38-35 overtime Grey Cup victory over the Montreal Alouettes...spent most the regular season watching from the sidelines as the back-up to Ricky Ray who returned to the team after a season with the New York Jets...his only action of the regular season came when he completed all three of his pass attempts for 75 yards and one touchdown, a 37-yarder to Jason Tucker in the Eskimos 43-23 victory at Calgary on November 6th.

A break-out year for the Eskimo quarterback after two years in a back up role, Maas became only the second quarterback in Eskimo history to pass for more that 5,000 yards in a season...finished the regular season completing 361 of his 549 pass attempts (65.8%) for 5,270 yards (2nd in CFL) and 31 touchdowns while rushing for 252 yards and 8 scores on 79 carries...passed for over 300 yards on six occasions and four touchdown passes twice during the regular season...was the Eskimos' nominee for the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award...completed 27 of his 39 pass attempts for 497 yards and three touchdowns in the Eskimos 41-34 loss to B.C. on June 26th...was named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week after he completed 27 of his 30 pass attempts for a career high 540 yards and four touchdowns in Edmonton's 41-24 victory over Winnipeg on July 30th...he also set a new CFL standard for consecutive completions with 22 in the victory over the Blue Bombers, breaking the previous mark of 18 set by former B.C. pivot Joe Paopao on September 22nd, 1979 vs. Toronto...in the Eskimos 33-30 loss at B.C. on September 18th Maas completed 25 of his 35 pass attempts for 365 yards and two touchdowns...completed 20 of his 34 pass attempts for 454 yards and four touchdowns in Edmonton's 39-19 victory over Montreal on October 11th...in the Eskimos 40-34 victory over Winnipeg on October 24th Maas became only the second player in Edmonton history to pass for over 5,000 yards in a season when he completed 26 of his 34 pass attempts for 311 yards and two touchdowns...Warren Moon had previously reached the 5,000 yard mark twice (1982-1983)...completed 34 of his 48 pass attempts for 369 yards in the Eskimos West Semi-Final loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Recovering from off-season back surgery Maas was limited to holding for field goals and conversions during the early stages of Edmonton run to a Grey Cup championship...finished the regular season completing 18 of his 29 pass attempts for 210 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions...on the ground he had six carries for 25 yards and one score...had his best game of the season when he relieved Ricky Ray during the Eskimos 34-30 loss at Winnipeg on October 25th and completed 13 of his 22 pass attempts for 161 yards and two touchdowns...Kory Bailey and Jason Tucker were on the receiving end of Maas's two scoring plays from 26 and 24 yards, respectively...backed up Ricky Ray in both the Eskimos 30-23 West Final victory over Saskatchewan and their 34-22 Grey Cup win over Montreal, who had defeated them the previous year in the championship game.

2002:

Dressed for all 18 games during his third season with the Eskimos, completing 115 of his 213 pass attempts for 1,872 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions...on the ground he had 24 carries for 132 yards...in the Eskimos 27-21 season opening victory at Calgary, Maas completed 23 of his 34 pass attempts for 391 yards and three touchdowns...the highlight of the evening for Maas came in the first quarter when he completed a 101 yard touchdown pass to Chris Brazzell... was named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week after completing 15 of his 29 pass attempts for 353 yards and two touchdowns in the Eskimos 40-24 victory over Ottawa on July 4th....suffered a separated shoulder (non-throwing arm) in Edmonton's 45-11 loss at Saskatchewan on July 19th and did not finish the game...missed the next three starts before returning to his usual role in the Eskimos 35-32 victory on August 15th and completed 12 of his 22 pass attempts for 151 yards and one touchdown...dressed but did not play quarterback for the next five weeks before coming off the bench completing six of his 13 pass attempts for 104 yards and two touchdowns in Edmonton's 34-33 victory at Hamilton on September 29th to help engineer an Eskimo comeback against the Ti-Cats...in the Eskimos 48-30 loss to Montreal on October 14th Maas entered the game in the third quarter to kick start the stalled Eskimo offence and finished the afternoon completing 17 of his 31 pass attempts for 349 yards and one touchdown...started at quarterback in the Eskimos 20-8 loss at Winnipeg on November 2nd...backed up Ricky Ray in both the Eskimos 33-30 West Final victory over Winnipeg and their 25-16 Grey Cup loss to Montreal.

2001:

An intense competitor and natural leader who emerged as the Eskimos starting quarterback by week seven of the regular season, Maas was both a CFL West Division All-Star and the Eskimos' nominee for the CFL's Outstanding Player...finished the regular season completing 232 of his 391 pass attempts for 3,646 yards (pass percentage: 59.3%)...ranked fifth in the CFL in pass attempts (391), sixth in completions (232), fourth in quarterback efficiency (95.5), third in both passing yards per attempt (9.3) and yards per completion (15.7)...in the Eskimos 42-39 loss at B.C. Maas completed 17 of his 29 pass attempts for 324 yards and a season high four touchdowns (72, 51, 30 and 21 yards) including three to Ed Hervey...completed 26 of his 45 pass attempts for a season high 358 yards and two touchdowns the next week in the re-match with the Lions at home...with the Eskimos trailing late in the Labour Day Classic at Calgary, Maas scrambled for 23 yards to set up Sean Fleming's game winning field goal with no time remaining...was named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week after he finished the day completing 21 of his 33 pass attempts for 312 yards and one touchdown in the victory over the Stampeders...threw for three touchdowns (65, 50 and 17 yds) and completed 17 of his 34 pass attempts for 310 yards the next week in Edmonton's 34-33 last minute re-match loss to Calgary...caped off a 61 yard drive with a game winning 14 yard touchdown toss to Quincy Jackson to clinch Edmonton a 23-22 victory over Toronto on September 21st...completed touchdown passes of 85, 74 and five yards during the Eskimos 37-33 loss to Winnipeg on October 5th...in the Eskimos 34-16 West Final loss to Calgary, Maas completed 28 of his 47 pass attempts for 344 yards and two touchdowns.

2000:

Maas signed as a free-agent with the Edmonton Eskimos on March 20th...the coaching staff intended to use him as a backup and (with Dan Crowley) the holder on field goal and extra point attempts...The Eskimos were, at the time, one of the league's deepest teams at the quarterback position, with Maas, Crowley, and incumbent starter Nealon Greene...finished his rookie season completing 17 of his 26 pass attempt for 177 yards, one touchdown and one interception...dressed for all eighteen games but saw significant action in only one, completing 16 of 25 pass attempts for 165 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the Eskimos 44-22 season opening loss at Calgary...his first career touchdown pass was to Terry Vaughn for seven yards in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Stampeders...dressed as a back-up in Edmonton's 34-32 West Semi-Final to the British Columbia Lions.

1999:

The Baltimore Ravens signed Maas as an un-drafted free-agent on April 23rd...attended the Ravens training camp, playing in one game during the pre-season...was released by Baltimore prior to the start of the regular season.
