Jason Jamenez
[edit] BiographyAcquired: Signed by B.C. as a free agent January 31, 2006. 2006: One of two imports brought in prior to the season in an effort to shore up the offensive line, Jimenez quickly earned a reputation among opposition defences as a fierce and unforgiving competitor. Appeared in all 18 regular season games as well as the West Championship and Grey Cup at right tackle. Pro: Jason began his professional career with the Cleveland Browns in 2003. He then moved on to the Green Bay Packers where he saw limited action his rookie year. Allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy on NFL Europe in 2004. Signed by the Oakland Raiders in 2004. Played as a free agent with the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe in 2005. Attended training camp with the Detroit Lions in 2005. College: 2002: Starred in Conference USA play for Southern Mississippi and was named as second team choice at offensive tackle. Started all 11 games for the Eagles and allowed only two sacks. 2001: Started all 11 games at strong tackle and allowed just 3 sacks. 2000: Played in 11 games and started the last six his sophomore year. 1999: Played in the last 4 games of the season and also played in the Conference USA championship @ the Liberty Bowl where Southern Miss defeated Colorado State 23-17. Personal: Born in Queens, NY, Jason grew up in Orlando FL. He enjoys languages and speaks English, Spanish, German and in the offseason, studies simplified Mandarin. Jason earned joint degrees from Southern Mississippi in both Political Science and Criminal Justice. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Nikki and they have two dogs - Lola & Champ. Champ was a Maple Ridge SPCA rescue the day after the Grey Cup in November, hence the name 'Champ.'
