Born on September 7, 1972 in Brighton, Illinois, Jason Isringhausen (Jason Derik Isringhausen) played for the New York Mets, Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 11 year career. Isringhausen broke into the bigs on July 17, 1995 with the New York Mets, and put up a 2.81 ERA in 93 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jason Isringhausen's best season was 2004, when he posted a 2.87 ERA, notched 47 saves and struck out 71 batters.
