Jason Carthen (Jason Carthen) was born on November 16, 1970 in Decatur, Alabama. After attending high school at Scott (Toledo, OH), Carthen attended Ohio University. Carthen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1993 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for 2 years and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995, where he sustained a knee injury. He played 1 year in Europe with the Rhein Fire (WLAF) where he led the entire league in special teams tackles.
