Born on February 23, 1973 in St. Clair, Illinois, Jason Boyd (Jason Pernell Boyd) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career. Boyd broke into the bigs on September 10, 1999 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.30 ERA in 52.1 innings pitched in 2003, his rookie year.
