Traded to the Tiger-Cats from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for import running back Corey Holmes and non-import wide receiver Chris Getzlaf on August 19, 2007

2005:

Led the Renegades in receiving yards with 1,307, good for fifth in the CFL. Armstead also made five touchdown receptions, including a 75-yard score against Toronto on Sept. 28. He had a season high 173 receiving yards against Hamilton on Aug. 6...Selected by Saskatchewan in the first round (third overall) in the 2006 Ottawa Dispersal Draft.

2004:

Signed as a free agent during off-season ...Game Two vs TOR: Had seven punt returns for 54 yards ... Game Three vs EDM: Caught three passes for 105 yards, including an 83-yard effort at the end of the first half that set up an Ottawa touchdown. Recovered "moonshot" kickoff following touchdown, forcing a fumble by Edmonton's Fabian Burke... GAME Four @ MTL: Caught three passes for 16 yards, returned seven punts for 55 yards and brought back five kickoffs for 127 yards... Game five vs WPG: Had an electrifying 91-yard punt return, highlighting a night where he brought back eight punts for 158 yards... Game Six @ TOR: Brought two kicks back for 47 yards, including a 31-yard return. Punt return yardage continued to be solid, returning five punts for 39 yards. Recorded his first touchdown of the season on a 33-yard grab from Darnell Kennedy, one of two catches (for 47 yards) on the night... Game Seven vs CGY: Caught three passes for 16 yards, returned two punts for 24 yards and brought back three kick-offs for 48 yards... Game Eight @ B.C.: Caught four balls for 35 yards and was stellar again on returns. Brought back four punts for 57 yards and another five kickoffs for 79 yards... Game Nine vs HAM: Hauled in a pair of catches for 26 yards. Also returned a kickoff for 12 yards and brought back five punts for 62 yards... Game 10 @ EDM: Was the team's top receiver, catching three balls for 131 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown pass, in the second quarter. Also brought back two kickoff returns for 34 yards and one punt return for 14 yards... GAME 11 vs MTL: Caught his second touchdown pass of the season on a 12-yard strike from Kerry Joseph. Finished with six catches for 85 yards, three punt returns for 22 yards and five kickoff returns for 69 yards.... Game 12 vs B.C.: Had third consecutive game with a touchdown catch after hauling in a 17-yard pass in the first quarter against the Lions. Finished with four catches for 39 yards, returned three kicks for 61 yards and each of the three punts the team received, bringing it back 75 yards. Game 13 @ CGY: Extended his touchdown streak to four consecutive games with a 75 yard punt return. He had a total of 5 punt returns for 110 yards. He also added two receptions for 15 yards. Game 14 @ SSK: Had 4 catches for 18 yards, three punt returns for 10 yards, and two kickoff returns for 43 yards.

Signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL on April 28 ... Played three pre-season games for the Steelers, used primarily as a kick returner ... Caught one pass for seven yards, returned a kickoff 46 yards and returned three punts Aug. 9 vs. Detroit ... Returned one kickoff 21 yards on Aug. 16 vs. Philadelphia ... Returned two punts Aug. 21 vs. Dallas ... Released by Steelers on Aug. 26.
