Jamie Rivers (James Albert Rivers) was born on September 22, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio. After going to high school at South (Youngstown, OH), Rivers attended Bowling Green State University. Rivers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1968 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Jets over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1968 was Jamie Rivers's best year.
