James Wright (James Earl Wright) was born on March 27, 1939 in Columbus, Mississippi. After going to high school at Stephen D. Lee (Columbus, MS), Wright attended the University of Memphis. Wright made his professional debut in the AFL in 1964 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 1 year career.
