James Wilder (James Curtis Wilder) was born on May 12, 1958 in Sikeston, Missouri. After going to high school at Sikeston (MO), Wilder attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and the University of Missouri. Wilder made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was James Wilder's best year, as he ran for 1544 yards, ran in 13 TDs, hauled in 85 receptions and had 685 receiving yards.
