James Thornton (James Michael Thornton) was born on February 8, 1965 in Santa Rosa, California. After going to high school at Analy (Sebastapool, CA), Thornton attended California State University, Fullerton. Thornton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Houston Oilers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1989 was James Thornton's best year.
