James Taylor (James Michael Taylor) was born on August 12, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois. After going to high school at Woodruff (Peoria, IL), Taylor attended the University of Missouri. Taylor made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1978 was James Taylor's best year.
