Jim Murray (James Oscar Murray) was born on January 16, 1878 in Galveston, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1902 for the Chicago Cubs. Murray played for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns and Boston Braves over the course of his 3 year career.
