James Jefferson (James Andrew Jefferson, III) was born on November 18, 1963 in Portsmouth, Virginia. After going to high school at H.M. King (Kingsville, TX), Jefferson attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville. Jefferson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the Seattle Seahawks. He played for the Seattle Seahawks for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1989 was James Jefferson's best year, as he had 511 kick return yards and ran back a kickoff for a touchdown.
