James Brown (James Lamont Brown) was born on January 30, 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Mastbaum (Philadelphia, PA), Brown attended Virginia State University. Brown made his professional debut in the NFL in 1993 with the New York Jets. He played for the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 8 year career.
