Jalen Rose signs with Suns, gets ring finger sized

Jalen Rose has agreed to terms with the impending NBA champion Phoenix Suns on a veteran minimum contract (since James Dolan is still paying him)

Apparently, Shaq and the Miami Heat and his hometown Detroit Pistons couldn't offer him the shot at the title and wonderful courtside amenities that Phoenix did.

Jalen Rose, being a decent shooter and above average passer will fit nicely with the Suns (as will his defensive abilities). This probably clears the way for some trades later in the season. (James Jones, Jumaine Jones anyone?)

I think this addition to the Suns is HUGE. Besides his obvious physical attributes, I also like the veteran leadership and experience he brings. But I'm sure all the Suns "doubters" out there in the media will put a negative spin on it. As a Suns fan, I think it's GREAT!!!

"Veteran leadership"? Rose is a shameless gunner and one of the laziest defenders in the game. But I guess the Suns have had a pretty good track record with guys like that, so who am I to argue?

Count on this... Mike D'Antoni is a SUPERIOR character guy that no one can help but love. Coach will get Jalen to play nice and Jalen will have the most fun season of his career. This system is VERY player friendly, even for malcontents (Tim Thomas) Don't discount the idea that Nash, Marion, Amare and Raja will KEEP Rose in line with no problems.

Why is it there are NBA fans that don't like the Suns? I know. Because they wish their team was as fun to watch and played the stle of ball the Suns do. It's no accident that alot of team's are trying to emulate that style. In their dreams. So back off from the Suns bashing. You all are suffering from what we call "Suns envy".

Rose is a lucky bastard. He's getting paid an obscene amount by the Knicks, plus a tidy sum from the Suns. Also, he essentially got to choose which championship caliber team he wanted to go to. He was pursued pretty heavily by the Heat as well.
