Jake Leicht (Jacob Leicht) was born on October 1, 1920 in Jamestown, North Dakota. After going to high school at Stockton (CA), Leicht attended Pasadena City College and the University of Oregon. Leicht made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Jake Leicht's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
