Jake Gettman (Jacob John Gettman) was born on October 25, 1875 in Frank, Russia. He made his Major League debut on August 20, 1897 for the Washington Senators. In 1897, his rookie year, he hit .315 with 3 home runs and 29 RBI. Gettman played for the Washington Senators for his entire 3 year career.
