Jake Colhouer (Jacob C. Colhouer) was born on January 15, 1922 in Altus, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Warren (OK), Colhouer attended Oklahoma State University. Colhouer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Jake Colhouer's best year.
