Jacque Mackinnon (Jacque Harold MacKinnon) was born on November 10, 1938 in Dover, New Jersey. After going to high school at Dover (NJ), Mackinnon attended Colgate University. Mackinnon made his professional debut in the AFL in 1961 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 9 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time. Mackinnon also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Oakland Raiders the entire time.

Most people believe that 1968 was Jacque Mackinnon's best year, as he had 646 receiving yards and caught 6 TD passes.
