After the flak he received from his comments yesterday, you would think Phil Jackson would issue a sincere, heartfelt apology.
Well, it started out that way . . .
This is what I saw and heard him say, as broadcasted last night after ESPN's Lakers/Rockets game:
"What I said was not funny, it was a poor joke that wasn't funny when taken out of context . . . If I've offended any horses, texans, cowboys, or gays, I apologize."
Where does that rank in the All-Time Best Apologies? Has to be pretty high.
Hey, at least he's consistent - with his words, if not with his fashion. Where is he hiding that bow tie?
