Jackie Tavener

Jackie Tavener (John Adam Tavener) was born on December 27, 1897 in Celina, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 24, 1921 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 0 home runs and 47 RBI. Tavener played for the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 6 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Jackie Tavener's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1926, when he knocked in 58 runs. However, others believe that it was 1927, when he knocked in 59 runs.
