Jack joined Arsenal as a nine year old in 2001. His talent has been apparent at the club and he is developing into a player who can produce on either wing from the midfield. Jack earned a start in the Arsenal reserve squad in February 2008 against West Ham, scoring a goal in that debut.
Due to his performances on the pitch he signed scholarship forms in the summer of 2008 and earned a spot on the pre-season training tour of Austria with the club. During the pre-season Jack scored a wonderful goal against former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann in a match against VfB Stuttgart. In August of 2008 he was handed a first team squad number.
Jack made his professional debut for Arsenal on September 13, 2008 when he entered a match against Blackburn Rovers. He entered this match as a substitute in the 84th minute replacing Robin van Persie. On September 24, 2008 he scored his first competitive goal for Arsenal in a 6-0 win for Arsenal over Sheffield United in the Carling Cup.
