Jack Thoney (John Thoney) was born on December 8, 1879 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1902 for the Cleveland Broncos. In 1904, his rookie year, he hit .227 with 0 home runs and 18 RBI. Thoney played for the Cleveland Broncos, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Naps, Washington Senators, New York Highlanders and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 5 year career.
