Jack Spinks (John Robert Spinks) was born on February 4, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at Stevenson (Toomsuba, MS)*, Spinks attended Alcorn State University. Spinks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1952 was Jack Spinks's best year.
