Jack Sommers (Jack William Sommers) was born on February 9, 1919. After going to high school at Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA) and Norristown (PA), Sommers attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Sommers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
