Born on August 13, 1869 in Staten Island, New York, Jack Sharrott (John Henry Sharrott) played for the New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Sharrott broke into the bigs on April 22, 1890 with the New York Giants, and put up a 2.89 ERA in 184 innings pitched in 1890, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jack Sharrott's best season was 1890, when he posted a 2.89 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 84 batters.
