Jack Salveson

Born on January 5, 1914 in Fullerton, California, Jack Salveson (John Theodore Salveson) played for the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career. Salveson broke into the bigs on June 3, 1933 with the New York Giants, and put up a 5.25 ERA in 73.2 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jack Salveson's best season was 1943, when he posted a 3.35 ERA.
