Jack Russell (Jack M. Russell) was born on August 29, 1921 in Nemo, Texas. After going to high school at Cleburne (TX), Russell attended Baylor University. Russell made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the New York Yankees. He played in the AAFC for 4 years, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time. Russell also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Yanks the entire time.
Most people believe that 1948 was Jack Russell's best year, as he caught 6 TD passes.
