Born on July 1, 1883 in Stefurov, Austria-Hungary, Jack Quinn (John Picus Quinn) played for the New York Highlanders, Boston Braves, Baltimore Terrapins, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, Brooklyn Robins, Brooklyn Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 23 year career. Quinn broke into the bigs on April 15, 1909 with the New York Highlanders, and put up a 1.97 ERA in 118.2 innings pitched in 1909, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jack Quinn's best season was 1914, when he posted a 2.60 ERA, won 26 games and struck out 164 batters.
