Born on November 5, 1897 in Ogden, Pennsylvania, Jack Ogden (John Mahlon Ogden) played for the New York Giants, St. Louis Browns and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 5 year career. Ogden broke into the bigs on June 22, 1918 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.15 ERA in 242.2 innings pitched in 1928, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jack Ogden's best season was 1928, when he posted a 4.15 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 67 batters.
