[edit] Trivia

In 1991, at age 36, Jack pitched the greatest game of his career, and arguably one of the best World Series games ever. He had helped his hometown team, the Minnesota Twins, make their way to the World Series against the Atlanta Braves. After six nerve-wracking and climactic games, Morris took the ball in game 7, pitching 10 shutout innings to outduel a young John Smoltz en route to a 1-0 Twins victory and a World Series MVP award.
