Jack Morlock (John Morlock) was born on April 7, 1916 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Moundsville (WV), Morlock attended Marshall University. Morlock made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career before suffering a career-ending knee injury that kept him from playing pro-basketball as well.
