Jack Mintun (John F. Mintun) was born on July 12, 1894. After going to high school at Cambridge (NE), Mintun attended none. Mintun made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Decatur Staleys. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Decatur Staleys and Chicago Staleys over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Mintun also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Racine Legion, Racine Tornadoes and Kansas City Cowboys over the course of his 5 year NFL career.
