Jack Mattox (Jack V. Mattox) was born on August 3, 1938 in Fresno, California. After going to high school at Clovis (CA), Mattox attended California State University, Fresno. Mattox made his professional debut in the AFL in 1961 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 1 year career.
