Jack Martin (John T. Martin) was born on April 10, 1922 in Flint, Michigan. After going to high school at Waite (Toledo, OH), Martin attended Princeton University and United States Naval Academy. Martin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Jack Martin's best year.
