Jack Martin (John Christopher Martin) was born on April 19, 1887 in Plainfield, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on April 25, 1912 for the New York Highlanders. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .225 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Martin played for the New York Highlanders, Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Braves over the course of his 2 year career.
