Jack Manders (John Albert Manders) was born on January 13, 1909 in Milbank, South Dakota. After going to high school at Milbank (SD), Manders attended the University of Minnesota. Manders made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1937 was Jack Manders's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
