Jack Itzel (John F. Itzel, Jr.) was born on November 12, 1924 in , PA. After going to high school at Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), Itzel attended Georgetown University and the University of Pittsburgh. Itzel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
