Jack Finlay (John Finlay) was born on September 8, 1921 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA), Finlay attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Finlay made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Jack Finlay's best year.
