Born on February 28, 1867 in Bridgeport, Ohio, Jack Easton (John S. Easton) played for the Columbus Colts, St. Louis Browns, St. Louis Perfectos and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 5 year career. Easton broke into the bigs on September 23, 1889 with the Columbus Colts, and put up a 3.52 ERA in 255.2 innings pitched in 1890, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jack Easton's best season was 1890, when he posted a 3.52 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 147 batters.
