Jack Butler (John B. Butler) was born on November 12, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at ?*, Butler attended St. Bonaventure University. Butler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1953 was Jack Butler's best year, as he picked off 9 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
