Born on April 21, 1918 in Los Angeles, California, Jack Brewer (Jack Herndon Brewer) played for the New York Giants for his entire 3 year career. Brewer broke into the bigs on July 15, 1944 with the New York Giants, and put up a 5.56 ERA in 55 innings pitched in 1944, his rookie year.
