Jack Berly

Born on May 24, 1903 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Jack Berly (John Chambers Berly) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Berly broke into the bigs on April 22, 1924 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.88 ERA in 111.1 innings pitched in 1931, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jack Berly's best season was 1931, when he posted a 3.88 ERA.
