Jack Beckett (John Wesley Beckett) was born on January 5, 1892 in Eight Mile, Oregon. After going to high school at Eugene (OR), Beckett attended the University of Oregon. Beckett made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Buffalo All-Americans. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo All-Americans the entire time. Beckett also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Columbus Panhandles the entire time.
