Jab Murray (Richard P. Murray) was born on October 28, 1892 in Oconto, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Marinette (WI), Murray attended Marquette University. Murray made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Green Bay Packers. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Green Bay Packers the entire time. Murray also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Green Bay Packers and Racine Legion over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
