JaMarcus Russell to Start on Dec. 2 vs. Broncos

ESPN is reporting that the Raiders will likely start their Number 1 draft pick against the Broncos in two weeks. Those of you in dynasty and/or keeper leagues may want to pick him up and give him a test run for the rest of the season and hope he fulfills his vast potential. He has little value in regular leagues. On a personal note and speaking as a Raiders fan, I am hoping he can excel, allowing something positive to come out of yet another lost season.

Flea you might be aware I'm also a Raiders fan and I'm just looking for potential. Does the kid seem to understand the offense? Is he reading defenses and attempting adjustments? Does he have the "Tavaris Jackson Look" in his eyes when reading blitz? Can he throw then 13 yard out? If we are getting positive responses to questions like these let's be excited for the future, otherwise we can only pray he grows in the offseason. With JR2 holding out into the season we are really behind the 8 ball when it comes to his pro abilities, we will see though.

He certainly can't be any worse than Josh McCown. But the Raiders must be pretty confident in him if they're willing to start him over Culpepper, who hasn't been playing horribly, the Raiders just haven't been -- you know -- winning.
